Riot Series tournaments are independent events from XPSL events. However, Riot Series event producers agree to use the same rules and scoring, the same basic format as XPSL major events. As well as the requirement of Riot/XPSL ID cards for all participants.

Teams who attend Riot Series events earn 25 participation points toward the XPSL overall championships .
